Douglas Royals' women's volleyball head coach Jeff Ross will have the exciting opportunity to be part of the Washington State University Cougars' women's volleyball program as Associate Head Coach for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Douglas College Athletics would like to thank coach Ross for his dedication to the Royals' volleyball programs and wishes him all the best with this exceptional coaching opportunity.
"First and foremost, I can't thank Brian McLennon and the Athletics department enough for their guidance and support over the last 10 years," said Ross. "They have pushed me to become a better coach and person. The program is in a great spot with a great core of returning student-athletes and exciting new 1st years."
Ross is one of the most celebrated and accomplished coaches in Royals history. Over the past 10 seasons, his achievements are numerous, winning three CCAA National silver medals (2018 and 2022 women's volleyball, 2024 men's volleyball) and three PACWEST championships (2018 and 2022 women's volleyball, 2024 men's volleyball). He was the recipient of the prestigious 2022 Aboriginal Sport Circle National Indigenous Coaching Award.
"On behalf of the entire Royals family, we are so proud and excited for this tremendous opportunity for Coach Ross," said Brian McLennon, Director, Athletics & Recreation. "His pursuit of athletic and academic excellence for his student-athletes and giving back to the community through his various grassroots development initiatives demonstrates his exemplary leadership. There are winners, and then there are champions; Coach Ross is a champion."
Royals Athletics will begin the search for an interim women's volleyball head coach.
