Carly Dhanda has been promoted to head coach of the Langara Falcons women’s soccer team. Dhanda, a graduate of Sir Winston Churchill Secondary, committed to Langara College as a dual sport athlete, competing in both basketball and soccer in her first year with the program. She then played another three years with the women’s Soccer team, and was named a PACWEST All-Star.
“We wanted a coach who was also a mentor and a teacher of quality and character,” said Sean Shook, Manager, Athletics and Campus Recreation. “She has worked hard the last few years and has the respect and trust of the players. We are excited about the future direction of the program.”
Dhanda spent the past four seasons as the lead assistant with the Falcons, most recently qualifying for the PACWEST provincial championships in the 2025 season.
“Langara has had a large impact on me as a student, an athlete, and as a person,” said Dhanda. “A goal of mine is to replicate that same impact on the pitch and in the classroom for our students. I am grateful for the opportunity and I am excited to get to work.”
The PACWEST women's soccer schedule will be released during the summer in anticipation of kick off in early September.
