Mia Parkin – Capilano Blues

The second-year guard authored the Blues’ first triple-double of the season in a dominant win over the Douglas Royals Friday night as she went for 11 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists. She shot a tidy 5-for-8 and snagged three of her boards on the offensive glass. On Saturday, Parkin again filled the stat sheet as she provided 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals to go along with eight points as the Blues came within a hair’s breadth of a weekend sweep of the #2-ranked Royals. For the weekend, Parkin shot 58% from the field on the way to 19 points, 22 boards, 15 assists, four steals and two blocks.
