Guard Mackenzie Cox wins a national gold medal for the second time to cap off her career

What a collegiate career for Mackenzie Cox of the VIU Mariners.  Over the course of her five seasons on the Island, she won two national gold medals, one silver, and three PACWEST titles.

Following the 2025-2026 season, her highly decorated career comes to an end on the basketball court, at least the PACWEST level.  She certainly made the most of her opportunities in her graduating season, named the Player of the Game in the PACWEST gold medal tilt this year and then was named a CCAA First Team Tournament All-Star in Montreal.

She talks with Ryan Watters about playing the PACWEST and the CCAA national championship that capped off her wonderful career.
