David Rodriguez Zegarra – Langara Falcons

David Rodriguez Zegarra had a fantastic weekend for the Falcons.  The fifth-year captain assisted on the lone goal on Saturday as he curved a free kick around the Royals wall on a set piece, allowing teammate Dante Tallarico to score the game winning goal at the 45th minute.  Then on Sunday, his versatility was on full display, taking on a more attacking role from the midfield. He scored the game’s tying goal early in the contest after capitalizing on a brilliant through ball from teammate Maslah Farah.  He would then go on and score on a PK in the second half for what would prove to be the game winning goal. As the Falcons secured the lead, Zegarra shifted into a more defensive role, supporting the backline to prevent a dangerous Mariners offense from tying the game.
