Blues Season Closes
The Capilano Blues season ended on Friday morning with a loss at the national championship

The PACWEST champion Blues finished their season on Friday morning in Montreal will a loss in the CCAA Placement Game at the national championship tournament.
After not scoring in their first two games of the tournament, the Blazers found their offence against the Blues with two first half goals just a minute apart.
In the 50th minute Campbell Grimston cut the lead in half and got the Blues on the board with a goal, his first of the nationals.
With the Blazers buzzing around the Capilano net in the 74th minute a ball accidentally ricocheted off a Blues player and into the net to restore their two-goal advantage. It would be a goal that would hold up as the game winner.
In the 77th minute the Blues cut the lead again when Tommy Millar found the back of the net to cap off his outstanding season.
Offensively the Blues were the better team recording 21 shots compared to just six by the Blazers. Their keeper however was the difference maker and recorded an impressive nine saves and holding the Blues to their two goals.
Following the game Grimston was named the Player of the Game.
