Season Finale
The Capilano Blues play their final game of the season on Friday morning at the CCAA nationals
CMU Blazers vs. Capilano Blues – Friday November 7, 7:00am PST
It hasn’t been the CCAA national championship the PACWEST champion Blues were envisioning and will play their final game on Friday morning in Montreal in the Placement Game.
The Blues have lost both games at the tournament, falling 2-1 in penalties on Wednesday to the ACAA champion UKC Blue Devils, then dropped a 3-0 affair to the Nomades de Montmorency on Thursday from the RSEQ.
With the two losses they will meet the Blazers from Manitoba on Friday morning and are hoping to leave Quebec with a victory. The Blazers have been outscored 7-0 in their two losses and are looking for redemption as well. During the regular season they won nine games and beat the favoured Brandon Bobcats in the Conference title game in extra time. They have been outgunned in this tournament with their offence being frustrated.
This is an opportunity for the Blues to take advantage and find their offensive touch before coming home to North Vancouver.
For curiosity sake, the gold medal game will see the Humber Hawks meet the Ch. Saint-Lambert Cavaliers on Saturday afternoon.
