Diana Artuso Inducted into CCAA Hall of Fame

The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) is proud to announce the upcoming induction of Diana Artuso into the CCAA Hall of Fame a standout forward for Capilano University, Artuso played three remarkable seasons from 1996 to 1999, helping guide the Blues to national prominence with her offensive firepower, athleticism, and leadership on the field.
The CCAA Hall of Fame honours the remarkable achievements of individuals who have significantly contributed to Canadian collegiate athletics. The athlete category recognizes those whose outstanding performance, leadership, and sportsmanship at the collegiate level that have left a lasting impact on their sport, their institution, and the CCAA as a whole.
In her rookie season, Artuso made an immediate impact by leading Capilano to the 1996 CCAA National Championship, where she finished as the tournament’s top scorer and was named a Tournament All-Star. Her scoring ability remained unmatched throughout her career, culminating in another national title in 1998, where she once again dominated the national tournament, netting a hat trick in the final and earning her second Tournament MVP honour.
Artuso also helped Capilano capture CCAA silver in 1997, was named a CCAA All-Canadian, and again received Tournament All-Star recognition.
Over 35 career games, Artuso scored a remarkable 48 goals, making her the all-time leading scorer in Blues history. Her 32 goals in conference play place her third all-time in BCCAA/PACWEST history.
As she joins the CCAA Hall of Fame, Diana follows in the footsteps of her cousin and teammate Melissa Artuso, a 2017 inductee, further cementing the Artuso legacy within the Capilano program and the CCAA.
