Blues Advance

The Capilano Bluels are moving on after a 109-77 victory over the Okanagan Coyotes in a PACWEST quarterfinal on Thursday.

Early on the Blues used the three-point shot to perfection as Martin Bogajev connected on his first four attempts to give his club a big lead.  However, the Coyotes battled back to bring the score to within one at halftime. 

The Blues again came out flying in the third quarter and outscored the Coyotes 26-10 to take a commanding lead and never really looked back. They would shoot 41.1% for the game and 39% from the three-point line led by Bogajev’s 32 and Tyrone Asenoguan added 21. 

The Coyotes finished their season shooting 32.6% from the field with Omon Edobar leading the way with 18 points.

With the victory the Blues advance to face the Camosun Chargers in Friday’s semi-final at 3:00pm.
