We want more in Week 4
It’s Week 4 of the men’s PACWEST soccer season with all four schools in action in a weekend twin bill.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2025
VIU Mariners @ Langara Falcons – 3:30pm – Langley Events Centre | WATCH HERE
The first place Falcons welcome the visiting Mariners for the second time this season. They met two weeks ago with the Falcons getting a pair of goals from David Rodriguez-Zegarra to earn a 2-1 win, the winning goal coming on a penalty kick early in the second half.
Last weekend the Falcons didn’t allow a goal in back-to-back games, as a matter of fact their last goal allowed was against the Mariners. Keeper Ziyan Clark-Ismail earned both clean sheets last weekend and is the reigning Athlete of the Week. Meanwhile the Mariners split last weekend picking up their first win of the campaign and find themselves nine points behind the Falcons in the standings.
Douglas Royals @ Capilano Blues – 3:30pm – Lillooet Park | WATCH HERE
Two weeks ago, these two schools met in a rain drenched game in Coquitlam that the Blues won 1-0 with a late goal coming into the 89th minute by leading goal scorer Sebastian Cirotto. Keeper Graydon Sherle was excellent making 11 saves in the clean sheet.
Following last weekend there are just three points separating these two in the standings however the Royals need to find a way to score goals. They have the fewest to date, scoring only five through the first six games. The Blues on the other side need to find a way to keep goals out of the net, allowing a Conference high 12.
