The Mariners made quick work of the Avalanche on Thursday night with a three-set sweep. Offensively Jane Nyukhalova led the way with eight kills and Karoline Tormena had seven kills, four aces and seven digs.

On the other side, Taylor Whittall led the Avalanche with seven kills and Ecaterina Arabadji collected six.

These two will play again on Friday as the Mariners (9-0) look to keep their streak alive against the Avalanche (4-5) at 6:00pm. WATCH HERE

Douglas Royals 3 – 25-19, 25-23, 25-22
CBC Bearcats 0

The Royals dominated the Bearcats on Thursday in a three-set sweep. Emma Schill led the offence with 10 kills, eight digs and a service ace. Olivia Cesaretti added seven kills out of the middle and both Grace Warkentin and Trisha He collected 13 digs each.

The Bearcats offence was slowed with 16 service errors. Both Megan Polant and Janae Bruinsma each recorded 10 kills in the set back.

Friday night the Royals (3-5) and Bearcats (1-6) will play the back half of a home and home at 6:00pm at Douglas. WATCH HERE
