Douglas Royals 3 – 24-26, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23
Camosun Chargers 1

Despite dropping the first set the Royals roared back and won three straight to finish off the Chargers getting a sense of payback after losing on Friday. Both Emma Schill and Vania Oliveira led the offence with 12 and 11 kills respectively and setter Jane Kepler totalled 31 assists.

The visiting Chargers had just one player reach double-digits as Mika Yamada collected 15 kills and 15 digs. Setter Katie Wayling tallied 26 assists.

VIU Mariners 3 – 25-7, 25-15, 25-22
Capilano Blues 0

The Mariners showed no signs of rust following the holiday break completely dominating the Blues winning all six sets over the weekend.

On Saturday the Mariners made quick work of the Blues led by the 10 kills from Danielle Groenendijk. Andrea Cankovic chipped in with eight kills and Chantal Cumming had 22 assists.

The Blues meanwhile struggled scoring points as Isabela Lima tallied eight kills to lead the way.
