The Blues (10-4) win their 10th of the season with a solid road victory on Saturday and leap frog the Chargers (9-5) in the standings. They shot 42% from the field and 53% from behind the arch led by Reiko Ohama and her 29 points. She knocked down three-three pointers and was 14 of 16 from the free throw line. Alessia Brutto was a force down low with 17 points and Sherrie Errico hit four-threes to finish with 16 points.

The Chargers on the other hand shot 32% from the field led by Mia Roberts and her 22 points which included four-three pointers. Jasmine de Vries added 15 in the loss.

Langara Falcons 78
Okanagan Coyotes 51

The Falcons flew out of the gate in the first quarter outscoring the hometown Coyotes 21-14 and set the pace for the rest of the game. They shot 41% from the field led by the interior play of Ainsliegh Mensah who dropped in 21 points. Breanne Homeniuk came off the bench for 18 points and Alexa Leynes tallied 10 points and 10 boards.

It wasn’t the best shooting day for the Coyotes who shot 23% from the field. Sapna Deo dropped three-threes and had a team high 13 points. Kasey Patchell chipped in for 12 points.
