The PACWEST women's basketball schedule saw just two games on Saturday afternoon.

VIU Mariners 96
Okanagan Coyotes 41

Friday night the Mariners (12-1) beat the Coyotes by 20 and on Saturday afternoon they completely dominated them with a 55 point victory. Each of the 12 Mariners players scored at least one basket as they shot 46% from the field. They set the tone early outscoring the home side 30-10. Shayce Johnston came off the bench to drop 14 points to lead the way and both Victoria Brown and Danielle Vanbergen each scored 12.

The Coyotes (5-5) were shelled shocked and couldn’t seem to solve the Mariners defence. Kasey Patchell led the way with 18 points on the strength of five-three pointers.

Camosun Chargers 69
Douglas Royals 55

For the second straight night the Chargers held the Royals to just 55 points on Saturday and didn’t allow a three-pointer.

The Chargers (7-3) shot 41% from the field and were led by Tessa Lannon-Paakspuu who collected a game high 28 points. Mia Roberts was also solid with 15 points and Kathryn Candell came off the bench and knocked down nine points.

Despite the loss the Royals (5-6) saw three players reached the double-digit plateau. Rachel Beauchamp had 17 points and 14 rebounds, Sydney Fraess scored 15 and Devin Strome had 10. The Royals bench didn’t offer much support scoring just six points.
