Golf Tees-Off For 2018

The PACWEST is proud to announce the 2018 golf schedule which is set to tee-off on September 8th.

After a very successful season on the CCAA stage winning both the men’s and women’s gold medal the PACWEST will open the first tournament on September 8th and 9th hosted by the Langara Falcons. The opening tournament will be hosted at Quilchena Golf & Country Club in Richmond.

The course offers 120 acres of golf with five sets of tees allowing for up to 6,781 yards of play. The deceptively challenging par-73 layout offers players of all ages and levels an opportunity to enjoy the unique ocean-side park-like setting while testing patience, course management, and skill at every turn.

The second tournament of the PACWEST tour is set for the Okanagan Golf & Country Club in Kelowna, hosted by the UBC Okanagan Heat. The two-day tournament is scheduled for September 15 and 16th.

The Bear Course at the Okanagan Golf Club is one of two spectacular golf courses. Planned by Nicklaus Design to ignite your passion for the game, The Bear's 18 hole 6,885 yard, par 72 masterpiece design opened for play in 1999 and is unlike any other golf course in British Columbia. With dramatic sculpted fairways surrounded by the forests and sage brush hills of B.C.'s sun-drenched southern interior, The Bear is the crown jewel course of the Okanagan Valley.

Following this stop the PACWEST will be hosted by the CCAA defending champion UFV Cascades at Ledgeview Golf & Country Club in Abbotsford on September 29 and 30.

Ledgeview Golf Club is a must play 18-hole golf course featuring a premium picturesque layout and the highest quality greens and fairways. It is nestled high atop the city of Abbotsford and offers a challenging yet playable course enjoyed by average and competitive golfers alike. The course is home to PGA Tour players, Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin.

The final golf tournament will be the PACWEST championship the weekend of October 5-7th. It will be hosted by the VIU Mariners at Nanaimo Golf Course. The winner of this tournament on both the women’s and men’s side will win PACWEST gold.

Nanaimo Golf Club is a spectacular 18-hole semi-private course, with full practice facilities and Pro Shop. At 6,700 yards from its championship tees, the course is a test for low handicap golfers to produce long, straight drives to reach the greens in regulation. At the same time, the five other sets of tees on each hole allow middle and high handicap players to find a level of play suited to their game.

Once the PACWEST winners are crowned they will travel to Medicine Hat to compete at the CCAA National Championship from October 15-19th.
