WOMENS GOLD MEDAL GAME: TRU vs UBCO

Squamish, BC - The TRU Wolfpack won their second straight PACWEST women’s soccer championship against the UBC Okanagan Heat in the gold medal game Saturday night.  In the final minute of the first half, TRU’s forward Alanna Bekkering struck the ball into the back of the net, ultimately the game-winning goal.

This score line remained the same for the rest of the game thanks to UBCO’s keeper Christine Tallon’s countless saves but her colleagues could not capitalize on any chances.  Tallon and Bekkering were named players of the game.

The Wolfpack now travel to PEI for nationals in two weeks.
