Shayna Worthington is a Claremont high school graduate from Victoria. Each year this 3rd year, 6’1” post has had more and more impact leading into this year where she has dominated from the start.
This past weekend in convincing victories over Douglas and CBC, Worthington combined for 47 points and 18 rebounds. On Friday against Douglas, she scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds in a 94-39 victory. On Saturday, Worthington added another 22 points and had 8 rebounds in a 113-47 win over CBC.
"Shayna worked really hard this past summer improving her game and it has really shown so far this season. Shayna has been one of the main reasons we have gotten off to a great start" stated coach McWhinnie.
