Will Quiring is entering his 2nd year at CBC. This 6’5” Saskatoon native has returned after winning a National Championships with CBC last season. CBC started their 2011-12 campaign with a road trip to North Vancouver to take on the Blues in back to back road matches. In Friday night’s season opener for both the Blues and Bearcats, Quiring and his squad played a very hard fought match as they stole their first road win of the season, 3-2. In Saturday night’s rematch, CBC once again came out on top, this time only winning 3-0.
Quiring had a spectacular weekend in leading the Bearcats to victory. In Friday’s 5 set thriller, Quiring tallied 30 kills, setting a new CBC record, and adding 1 block and 1 ace. In Saturday’s match, Quiring had to settle for only 17 kills, 5 blocks and 1 ace. Total offense for the weekend was 55 points.
