PACWEST Volleyball Championship

The 2020 volleyball PACWEST championship tournament is set to go beginning on Thursday February 20th on the campus of Douglas College in New Westminster for the first time since 2012. The six team tournament gives the top two seeds a bye into the semi-finals which are scheduled for Friday. Then Saturday the medal matches will take place with the winner punching their ticket to the National Championship.

On the women's side the CCAA national final is set for Cegep Garneau in Quebec beginning Thursday March 11th. The VIU Mariners are two-time defending champions and have won three of the last four seasons. The PACWEST also receives a wildcard berth into the championship tournament.

On the men's side they will also travel to play at St. Thomas University in Fredericton New Brunswick. The Franshawe Falcons are the defending champions and the VIU Mariners won bronze last year. The PACWEST hasn’t won a national crown since 2015 when the Camosun Chargers captured the title.
